Cohens Chemist is recruiting a 20-hour trainee Pharmacy Assistant to join our Rochdale branch. You will dispense and label prescriptions under pharmacist supervision and help manage stock in the dispensary and shop.

Job description

Duties will include the accurate dispensing and labelling of prescription items with guidance and supervision from the Pharmacist. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary and the shop.

This position is ideally suited to someone with previous customer service experience and who is willing to undertake the relevant training courses in order to progress., The utmost attention to detail is required in this role along with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, you will also have a desire to learn and progress your career in our business.

We are looking to recruit a 20-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at our 013-branch located at Nye Bevan House, Dowling Street, Rochdale, OL11 1HR. The proposed shift pattern is as follows: Monday 14:00-18:00 Tuesday 14:00-18:00 Wednesday 14:00-18:00 Thursday 14:00-18:00 Friday 14:00-18:00 Whilst working in this branch you will gain excellent knowledge and skills which will contribute to you successfully gaining the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing.

The successful candidate must have great people skills as this is paramount to your role. You will be required to work as part of a well-established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
