Job summary

Cohens Chemist in North West England invites applicants for a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant role. This 40-hour-per-week, permanent position offers an introduction to dispensing, customer service and stock control at our St Annes branch. You will train toward the Counter Course and NVQ Level 2 with support from the team.

The successful candidate will have customer service experience, attention to detail and a willingness to undertake regulatory training, with a clear path to progression.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Willingness to undertake training courses to progress in the business.
• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing will be pursued as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Accurate dispensing and labeling of prescriptions under guidance from the Pharmacist.
• Assist with stock ordering and management in the dispensary and shop.
• Maintain high service standards, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Learn and progress within the business and role.
• Provide support as part of a well-established team.

Job Details

We are looking to recruit a 40-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at our 809-branch located at St Annes Health Centre, Durham Avenue, Lytham St Annes, FY8 2EP.

The proposed shift pattern is as follows:

• Monday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• Tuesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• Wednesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• Thursday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• Friday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Whilst working in this branch you will gain excellent knowledge and skills which will contribute to you successfully gaining the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing.

This position is ideally suited to someone with previous customer service experience and who is willing to undertake the relevant training courses in order to progress.
