Job summary

A leading company is looking for a Trainee Parts Advisor to join their team in Newry. The role involves assisting current team members and learning about stock management and customer service in the commercial vehicle industry. Brook Street is working with our client in Newry to recruit a Trainee Parts Advisor

By assisting the existing Parts team in the above you will gain knowledge and experience, create and develop relationships internally, as well as build an understanding of our customer base, the commercial vehicle industry and the company product.

Duties

  • Assisting goods in by unloading and sorting deliveries
  • Allocating stock to correct areas of the store
  • Picking parts orders from the store for customers and internal workshop
  • Assisting with stock takes
  • Assisting with parts and warranty returns in line with Volvo processes
  • Updating internal computer systems
  • Other general parts administration duties


Once the relevant training and experience has been established, it is anticipated that the role will develop into a full parts role, working within the Newry depot team to ensure the smooth running of the parts department.

Criteria

  • Minimum of GCSE English and Maths, grade A-C
  • An excellent level of computer literacy is essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) at all levels, both internally and externally, in a professional manner (must be confident with telephone communication)
