The Eventus Recruitment Group are seeking a Trainee Paraplanner to join an independent financial planning firm in Knutsford, Cheshire. This full-time, permanent role pays £33,000 to £36,000 depending on experience, with funded CII study towards Chartered, flexible start and finish times, up to two days a week from home, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

The training programme is structured to develop paraplanning skills from day one, with real client work and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in a financial planning firm.
• Working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
• Good working knowledge of protection, pensions and investment products.
• Confident written and verbal communication with clients and providers.

Responsibilities

• Servicing existing business, including platform-based work and illustrations.
• Producing suitability letters and reports in line with the paraplanning training programme.
• Carrying out basic plan and fund research to support the paraplanning team.
• Acting on instructions from advisers and paraplanners following client meetings.
• Liaising directly with clients and wrap and platform providers.
• Obtaining illustrations and product information and chasing outstanding queries.
• Maintaining accurate records and keeping client files compliant.

Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Trainee Paraplanner to join an independent financial planning firm in Knutsford, Cheshire. This is a full-time, permanent job paying £33,000 to £36,000 depending on experience, with funded CII study towards Chartered, flexible start and finish times, up to two days a week from home and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. About the Role

The job of Trainee Paraplanner here is a genuine development job with real client work from day one. Working alongside the paraplanners and advisers, the incoming Trainee Paraplanner services existing clients, handles platform work and illustrations, and learns to build suitability letters and reports through the firm's own paraplanning training programme. The writing is taught rather than assumed, which is the difference between a training job and a job with a training label on it.

About You

This Trainee Paraplanner job suits someone already inside financial planning who has decided paraplanning is the direction they want, and who wants a firm that will actually train them towards it. Attention to detail matters more than polish at this stage, because the technical writing is what the programme teaches.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

• At least two years' experience working for a financial planning firm
• Working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
• Good working knowledge of protection, pensions and investment products
• Confident written and verbal communication with clients and providers
• A conscientious approach with real attention to detail
• Experience of back office and platform systems, Intelligent Office useful but not essential
