Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT in Doncaster is seeking a Band 5 Audiology post focusing on paediatric hearing assessments and fitting hearing aids in children, with progression towards Band 6 via HTS.
The role provides structured supervision, training and clinical exposure under the Higher Training Scheme, with a development pathway toward paediatric competencies. The post supports flexible working where possible and is part of NHS audiology services serving over 440,000 people.
To perform the full range of hearing and audiological assessments necessary for the diagnosis of hearing loss including (pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, play audiometry, otoacoustic emissions, speech testing) and fit hearing aids to deaf and hearing impaired children to national standards
Appropriate training and support will be provided to help the postholder progress towards becoming competent in a Band 6 role via the Higher Training Scheme. This is a Band 5 developmental post. The postholder will be supported to develop paediatric audiology competencies through structured supervision, training and clinical exposure.
