The New Homes Group Mortgage Services in Wakefield is seeking a driven Trainee Mortgage Adviser. You will begin in-office and, after CeMAP qualification, progress to a home-based Mortgage and Protection Adviser role with real career advancement.

Salary starts with a guaranteed £30,000 in year one (base £26,600 + £3,400 commission), plus potential bonuses and overtime. After 12 months, expect promotion to Senior Trainee with OTE of £40–£45k.

Following ongoing success throughout the business, we have recently promoted several of our current Trainee Mortgage Advisers who have now taken up their new roles as full-time home-based Mortgage Advisers. We are now seeking our next intake of candidates looking for an outstanding opportunity to become a fully CeMAP qualified Mortgage and Protection Adviser in a role that offers a genuine opportunity for a long-term career in Financial Services.

Location: You will be based full time at our offices in Wakefield WF2 0XG, however once your training is complete and you have your full CeMAP qualifications you will gain promotion to become a full time home based* Mortgage and Protection Adviser**

Daily Commute: To be considered for this role, you must have your own vehicle to be able to commute to our offices as required, or live locally enough to have short commute via a reliable form of public transport (within 45 minutes).

Target: Candidates with a strong desire to work within the Financial Services arena, with a strong proven track record in customer service and or sales.

Year One Rewards: During the first 12 months, you will receive a salary guarantee of £30,000. This is basic salary of £26,600 and a guaranteed commission of £3,400. If you earn above £3,400 in commission during this period, anything extra is yours! You will qualify for a bonus top up at the end of the 12-month period if you exceed targets. You can also increase your earnings by taking advantage of overtime which is regularly available.

After 12 Months: Upon successful completion of your first year in the business, you will be promoted to a Senior Trainee. your basic salary will increase to £30,000 plus commission and bonus, meaning an OTE of £40K - £45K.

CeMAP Support: We will provide full financial support to gain CeMAP Mortgage Adviser qualifications. The aim is to have you fully qualified after a successful 24 months.

Working hours: Working a rotating rota including early (9:00am - 6:00pm) and late starts (11:00am - 8:00pm), working every other weekend (10:00am - 7:00pm). Please ensure you can commit to these hours prior to application.

Your role will consist of office based working for The New Homes Group Mortgage Services as first point of contact for our customers, needless to say this is an important and integral part of our organisation, our teams are highly trained and work to high expectations and are responsible for managing our customer’s first impressions, it’s fair to say you will find no two days are the same, and the experience gained will be invaluable to you once you become a Mortgage Adviser.

You will be responsible for making and receiving calls to customers referred to us by our national house-builder clients. Your role will require you to accurately record their details as part of their mortgage application, partially completing a fact find and researching lenders affordability and criteria, utilising your excellent sales and customer service experience with the intention of arranging an appointment with one of our specialist Mortgage Advisers.

Required Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
