Job summary

The New Homes Group in Wakefield is seeking a Trainee Mortgage Adviser to join our office-based training program. Over 24 months you will develop CeMAP qualifications while supporting customers and learning the mortgage process.

During Year 1 you’ll earn a guaranteed £30,000 (basic £26,600 + commission £3,400) with potential for bonus and overtime; after successful training you’ll progress to a home-based adviser role with an OTE of £40k–£45k.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to work within financial services, particularly mortgages and protection.
• Proven track record in customer service and sales.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with clear communication.
• Organised and disciplined with a structured approach to work.
• Highly competent IT user, including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Make and receive calls to customers referred by our house-builder clients.
• Record customer details accurately for mortgage applications and complete a fact find.
• Research lenders affordability and criteria and explain options to customers.
• Arrange appointments with specialist Mortgage Advisers.
