Job summary

Impression Recruitment in Skipton is seeking a Trainee Mortgage Advisor. You will work closely with senior advisors, gaining exposure to live mortgage cases, lenders and the advisory process while receiving training and mentoring to become a fully qualified Mortgage Advisor.

The role offers a clear progression path, CeMAP support, and a competitive salary with commissions. Regular hours Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, in a close-knit independent firm.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator with good people skills.
• Ambitious, proactive and eager to develop into a Mortgage Advisor.
• Attention to detail with a methodical approach to cases.
• Strong organisational skills and reliability in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Support live mortgage cases from initial enquiry through to completion.
• Assist with mortgage applications, documentation and client files.
• Speak directly with clients and lenders to build knowledge and relationships.
• Support experienced Mortgage Advisors throughout the advisory process.
• Learn to assess client circumstances and mortgage requirements.
• Develop knowledge of mortgage products, lenders and the market.
• Understand regulatory, FCA requirements and compliance.
