Job summary

Michelin in Newcastle Upon Tyne is recruiting a Trainee Mobile Industrial Tyre Technician. This hands-on role visits customer sites, fits and services industrial tyres, and builds a long-term career in the tyre fitting industry.

No prior tyre experience required. You’ll receive full training, a company van, and ongoing support as you learn a skilled trade, with a clear path to progression within Michelin's mobility-focused team.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
• Willingness to travel as part of the job and visit customer sites.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Approachable, reliable and a team player.
• Experience of manual handling is preferred.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Travelling to customer sites in your company van.
• Learning how to fit and service industrial tyres safely.
• Handling wheels, tools and equipment as part of the role.
• Using a tablet to update job details.
• Representing Michelin in a professional and friendly way.
• Working as part of a supportive team while managing your own day.
