York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to work in hospital pharmacy. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual interested in working within a hospital pharmacy setting. You will gain experience in ward-based working and the pharmacy dispensary whilst working towards a pharmacy qualification. Applications are welcome from those who have already completed a level 2 pharmacy qualification. If you already have the required qualifications and skills then you will start the role as a band 3. Previous pharmacy experience would be an advantage, however full training will be provided to the successful candidate. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be well organised, have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, be able to adapt to changing demands, be committed to providing a high quality patient focused service and be someone who is proactive. Core service hours are Monday to Friday 08:45 - 17:15 and you will contribute to the weekend rota (roughly 1 in 8) and bank holiday rota (roughly 1 per year). Candidates must have GCSEs in Maths & English at grade C or above or an equivalent qualification and meet the essential criteria of the job specification.
Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY at the hospital site. Remote interviews will not be available.
