This permanent role offers full training, hands-on experience in precision engineering, and clear progression opportunities for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented and eager to develop mechanical skills.

The position operates a weekly rotating shift pattern with early and late weeks, a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, and potential move to double days within a few months.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and follow engineering drawings.
• Willingness to learn precision measurement and inspection.
• Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
• Comfort with working in a structured manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Learn to interpret and follow engineering drawings accurately.
• Measure, cut, and prepare components to tight tolerances (within 0.5mm).
• Use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Assemble components using hand tools and precision techniques.
• Support welding and testing processes (full training provided).
• Carry out quality checks and assist with pressure testing.
• Work closely with supervisors and team leaders to meet production targets.
• Maintain clean, safe working areas and follow health and safety procedures.
