Job summary

Dunbia in Bedford is seeking a trainee meat trimmer/butcher to join its production plant. You will develop the skills to prepare, bone and trim product to meet customer specifications, working in a fast-paced team environment.

Starting pay is £12.73 per hour plus bonus, rising to £13.42 per hour after training completion, with a company transport option from Bedford Town Centre if required. This role offers training and clear progression within a leading meat company exporting to over 50

Qualifications

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative within a team.
• Willingness to undertake training and progression within the business.
• Experience in a similar role or in the food industry is advantageous, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Using a knife in a safe manner at all times in line with company procedures.
• Boning and trimming beef products to customer specifications.
• Cutting product to weight and thickness specifications.
• Advising production management on raw material quality and specifications.
• Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment to ensure production runs smoothly.
• Maintain current yields and quality standards.
