Job summary

Dunbia Group is seeking a trainee meat trimmer/butcher to join a leading meat processing operation in Bedford. You will develop skills to prepare, bone and trim products to meet customer specifications within a production environment.

The role offers training with progression opportunities in a fast-paced facility, with a 40-hour workweek (Mon-Fri, 6am–3pm) and pay starting at £12.73 per hour plus bonus, rising after training completion to £13.42 per hour plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Good communication and team working skills
• Ability to work on own initiative while contributing to a team
• Strong willingness to undertake training for the role
• Experience in a similar role or food industry is advantageous, but full training will be given

Responsibilities

• Using a knife safely in line with company procedures
• Boning and trimming beef to customer specifications
• Cutting product to weight and thickness specifications
• Advise production management on raw material quality issues
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain yields and quality standards
