Trainee Management Accountant - Study Support

Job description

Reporting to the Management Accountant, this newly created role is required to support the finance team in transactional operations, reporting and analysis. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain broad experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation and distribution of weekly performance reports on sales, purchasing, and production.
2. Assistance with month-end duties including preparation of accruals and prepayments.
3. Balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Purchase ledger assistance including processing of raw material invoices, supplier statement reconciliations, and resolving queries.
5. Sales order processing.
6. Adding standard costs to the system.
7. Assistance with external audit.
8. Ad-hoc reporting as required.

Essential attributes / skills / qualifications:

1. Must have a 2:1 or above in Accountancy & Finance, Maths, Economics, or a numeric-based degree.
2. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Driven to improve processes and procedures.
4. Good time management, planning, and organizational skills.
5. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
6. Competent IT skills especially on Excel including using a wide range of functions and formulas, creating pivot tables.
7. Flexible.
