Bennett & Game are delighted to be partnering with a modern and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Stockport as they recruit for a trainee accountant to join their growing team. This practice has grown significantly over the last 12 months and aims to continue its growth and expansion. They are onboarding an ambitious accountant, who is either a graduate, or recently AAT qualified or part ACCA qualified. The successful candidate will work within a varied portfolio of clients, from sole traders to multi-million-pound corporations, with opportunities to train and develop their career in accountancy.

Junior Accountant Job Overview

1. Lead customers through the company setup process.
2. Register companies for all relevant taxes.
3. Gather quarterly information from clients to prepare management accounts.
4. Prepare statutory year-end accounts accurately within three months of year end.
5. Issue company accounts for director signatures and ensure on-time filing at Companies House.
6. Submit quarterly VAT returns timely and accurately.
7. Prepare and submit PAYE/NI returns for directors.
8. Compute corporation tax, ensure timely payment, and file CT600.
