Job summary

SP Electricity North West is seeking a Trainee Reporting Management Accountant to support robust financial reporting and internal controls while gaining broad experience across management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial control. The role includes working with the Tagetik system, capitalisation reconciliations, and assisting the Group Financial Accountant and Finance Systems team.

Progression toward CIMA or ACCA is encouraged, with agile working after probation and eligibility to

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent; relevant finance/accounting background.
• Interest in pursuing a recognised professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining finance reports within the Tagetik system and support Group Finance.
• Help manage COO cost centre including expenditure analyses, budgeting and forecasting.
• Contribute to capitalisation reconciliations and application of policies.
• Support regulatory reporting and ad-hoc financial analysis; seek process improvements.
