Job summary

Steeper Group is seeking a motivated individual to join our Maintenance team in Leeds as a Trainee Maintenance Technician. You will work closely with a Maintenance Technician, learning to maintain production equipment, plant, and facilities, and gain hands-on experience while progressing toward a Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician Dual Discipline apprenticeship.

You will develop fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and documentation skills, with opportunities for career progression

Responsibilities

• Work with Maintenance Technician to learn site machinery and systems.
• Assist with scheduled and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Help document maintenance knowledge for resilience and continuity.
• Support with component procurement and replacement parts as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Participate in training and apprenticeship milestones.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency projects.
