Job summary

Wills Consultants in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, is seeking a Trainee Maintenance Technician to join our Resident Maintenance Team. You will carry out day-to-day preventative and corrective maintenance on automated warehouse equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and quality standards.

The role suits technically minded individuals with a Mechanical or Electrical engineering background or those eager to learn.

Qualifications

Qualified in mechanical or electrical engineering (advantageous but not essential).
Experience in maintenance or automated warehouse environment (advantageous but not essential).
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities on automated equipment and systems.
Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely and in accordance with legislation, site risk assessments, and company procedures.
Work collaboratively as part of the Resident Maintenance Team to achieve operational targets.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
