Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Trainee Machine Setter and Operator in West Nottingham. The role offers structured on-the-job training to progress into a Machine Setter with a long-term, permanent position. Training will cover setting machines to produce metal components, basic tooling grinding, and quality checks.

You will initially work days (07:00–15:30), with potential night shifts. The package includes a starting rate of £13.06ph with nights paid x1.33, plus progression

Qualifications

• Manufacturing background or hands-on mechanical experience.
• Comfortable with measurements and quality checks.
• Accurate data input and ability to use planning/MRP systems (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Set machines for different sizes and materials.
• Carry out basic tooling grinding and quality checks.
• Measure components and input production data.
• Be prepared to work days initially with potential night shifts when required.
