Job summary

Sammons Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Trainee Machine Operator for our busy Eastbourne production team. This role offers full training and a clear progression path to Machine Operator within 3–6 months, accompanied by a salary increase.

You will work day shifts on-site, learning to operate and monitor machinery, perform basic setup and adjustments, and help maintain quality and safety standards while contributing to daily targets.

Qualifications

• Previous production or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential.
• A practical and hands-on approach to work.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
• Good attention to detail.
• Comfortable working within a busy production environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
• Positive attitude with a genuine desire to develop and progress.

Responsibilities

• Checking products throughout the production process to ensure quality standards are met
• Following production, quality and health & safety procedures
