Job summary

Cambria in Chester is seeking a hands-on Trainee Inspector to start a practical engineering career. You’ll learn lifting equipment inspection, testing, servicing and certification, with full training provided.

This full-time role covers UK-wide site work and requires a Level 1 engineering qualification plus a valid UK driving licence. Travel and occasional overnight stays are part of the progression.

Qualifications

Join our growing team and learn specialist engineering skills inspecting, testing, servicing and certifying lifting equipment used throughout the UK in live events for the Entertainment industry including, Concerts, Festivals, Theatres, Television, Education and more.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

• Lifting equipment inspection and testing
• Servicing electric chain hoists and manual chain blocks
• Fault finding and repairs
• Inspection reports and certification paperwork
• Industry regulations and safe working practices
• Working on customer sites across the UK

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum Level 1 or Equivalent Engineering qualification
• Full UK driving licence
• Practical hands‑on approach
• Good communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Willingness to travel & occasionally stay away from home

CAREER PROGRESSION
