Job summary

Orona, Intelligent Lifts & Escalators, seeks a Trainee / Service & Repairs Mate in the UK to support experienced engineers with lift servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repairs across customer sites. You will train on safety, professional conduct and high standards expected by the team.

You will gain practical experience across mechanical and electrical systems, learn to work safely, and progress within the service and repairs function of a growing lift company.

Qualifications

• Interest in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Practical ability and willingness to learn.
• Good timekeeping, reliability and attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service and Repairs Engineers with planned maintenance, repairs and fault-finding on lift systems.
• Carry out routine checks, cleaning, lubrication and basic maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Assist with replacement of lift components, including mechanical and electrical parts.
• Identify and report faults, damaged equipment and safety concerns.
• Support engineers in keeping plant rooms, lift pits, car tops and work areas clean, safe and organised.
• Manage tools, equipment and replacement parts, and complete service documentation accurately.
• Represent Intelligent Lifts & Escalators professionally when dealing with customers.
