Job summary

Intelligent Lifts & Escalators, part of ORONA, is seeking a motivated Trainee / Service & Repairs Mate to join our Service and Repairs team in London. You will work alongside experienced engineers on client sites, assisting with servicing, maintenance and fault-finding to keep lifts safe and reliable.

You will receive hands-on training, learn how to work safely and professionally, and develop the skills needed to progress within the business, with opportunities to work towards lift-industry

Qualifications

• No prior lift-industry experience required; hands-on training provided.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Comfort working at height and on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service and Repairs Engineers with planned maintenance, repairs and fault-finding on lift systems.
• Help carry out routine checks and basic maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Assist with replacement of lift components, including mechanical and electrical parts, as directed.
• Identify and report faults, damaged equipment, safety concerns and parts required.
• Support engineers in keeping plant rooms, lift pits, car tops and work areas clean, safe and organised.
• Transport, unload and manage tools, equipment and replacement parts.
• Use tools and equipment correctly, following training and instruction.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
