Job summary

Haven Holidays is seeking Trainee Lifeguards to join our pools team. You will learn pool safety, first aid and guest service while training on the job.

No prior lifeguard experience is required; training is provided. You should be alert, approachable, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Successful applicants will undergo an Enhanced DBS check before starting.

Qualifications

• Strong swimming ability with confidence in deep water.
• Good communication and guest-service skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool activity to ensure safety and order.
• Respond quickly to incidents and apply first aid if needed.

Whether you're a water lover or just looking for a fun, active job, we'll train you up with all the skills you need to keep our pools safe and our guests smiling., Learn the lifeguard ropes, we'll teach you how to handle everything from pool safety to first aid, so you're ready for anything!

• You’ll keep an eye on swimmers, respond quickly to any incidents, and ensure a safe, fun environment for all.
• Spread the fun providing excellent customer service, assisting guests with inquiries and concerns.

Previous Lifeguard experience is valued but not essential; we provide training.

• Ready to learn, stay alert and respond confidently in any situation.
• Friendly and approachable attitude with good communication skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Proficient in swimming:

• Jump/dive into deep water.
• Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds.
• Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water.
• Tread water for 30 seconds.
• Surface dive to the floor of the pool.
• Climb out unaided without a ladder or steps and where the pool design permits.

This opportunity requires the new candidate to undergo, and satisfactorily complete, an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.
