Job summary

Team Jobs - Commercial in London is seeking a Junior Installation Engineer to join an established team installing CCTV, access control and cabling across commercial sites. No previous security experience is required as full training will be provided.

You'll work with experienced engineers, learning to install and set up security systems, assist with testing and commissioning, and follow health and safety procedures while developing your skills on a clear development path.

Qualifications

• Interest in engineering or technology and practical mindset.
• Basic electrical knowledge is an advantage but not required.
• Willing to learn with a hands-on approach and reliability.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation of CCTV and access control systems.
• Install structured cabling and associated equipment.
• Support engineers with equipment setup, testing and commissioning.

Salary: 21,200 to 26,500 DOE

We're looking for a Junior Installation Engineer to join an established engineering team installing CCTV, access control and associated cabling systems across a range of commercial sites.

No previous security experience is required as full training will be provided.

The Role

Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll learn how to install and set up electronic security systems, gaining practical experience across a variety of projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the installation of CCTV and access control systems.
• Installing structured cabling and associated equipment.
• Supporting engineers with equipment setup, testing and commissioning.
• Learning to use tools and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Following site procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Working as part of an installation team to complete projects to a high standard.
• Developing your technical knowledge through hands‑on experience and structured training.

You'll receive support from experienced engineers, with a training plan designed to help you build your skills and progress within the industry.
