Job summary

Crown Oil Environmental is recruiting for an Industrial Tank Cleaning Operative to join their UK-wide team. No prior industry experience required; full training and qualifications provided.

A full UK driving licence is required and candidates should be 21+ due to van insurance. You will travel across the UK, work on-site at customer sites, clean tanks and vessels using high-pressure jetting, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence – up to 3 points acceptable.
• Aged 21+ due to company van insurance requirements.
• Comfortable with physical, manual work.
• Able to work at height and in confined spaces.
• Willing to travel regularly and stay away from home.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and eager to learn.
• Within reasonable travelling distance of the Bury-area base.

Responsibilities

• Clean industrial tanks and vessels at customer sites across the UK.
• Use high-pressure water jetting equipment.
• Remove waste, sludge and residues from tanks.
• Work safely inside confined spaces and at heights where required.
• Set up equipment, hoses and safety systems.
• Wear PPE and breathing apparatus as needed.
• Assist with preparing equipment and cleaning after jobs.
• Follow site procedures and safe systems of work.

Location: Bury / Manchester area
Starting salary: £28,000 + overtime & overnight rates, increasing as your experience grows

Crown Oil Environmental is looking for a reliable, hard-working person to train as an Industrial Tank Cleaning Operative.

No previous industry experience is required. If you enjoy practical, physical work and are comfortable with manual work in industrial environments, we'll provide the specialist training and qualifications you need.

Regular UK travel and overnight stays are a key part of this role.

What you'll be doing

You’ll work as part of a team at customer sites across the UK. Day to day, this will include:

• Cleaning industrial tanks and vessels

• Using high-pressure water jetting equipment

• Removing waste, sludge and residues from tanks

• Working safely inside confined spaces

• Working at height where required

• Setting up equipment, hoses and safety systems

• Wearing specialist PPE and breathing apparatus

• Helping prepare equipment before jobs and clean down afterwards

• Following site procedures and safe systems of work

You’ll receive full training in confined spaces, breathing apparatus, high-pressure water jetting, working at height and other specialist areas.
