Job summary

Reynolds Food Group runs a Trainee Driver Academy in Bardon. Starting salary is £32,358 with progression to £38,107 after completing the Class 2 licence, and a 48-hour week with 1am starts. The program is designed for individuals to qualify as LGV/HGV drivers within about five months.

You’ll train in a 3.5T vehicle or on-the-job with a mentor, then move to 7.5T, and finally to a Reynolds qualified Class 2 Driver after assessment.

Qualifications

• Have a clean UK driving licence.
• Want to become an HGV Class 2 Driver within 5 months.
• Want to "earn while you learn".
• Want to work for a family-run business.

Responsibilities

• During training you may drive a 3.5T vehicle or learn on the job with a mentor.
• After passing theory and obtaining Class 2 licence you will drive a 7.5T vehicle for up to 8 weeks to gain experience.
• You will be assessed in an HGV Class 2 vehicle and become Reynolds qualified Class 2 Driver upon successful completion.
