Job Summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic apprentice to join our healthcare assistant team. Central Surgery is a large practice located in the historic town of Barton-upon-Humber with a branch surgery in the picturesque village of Goxhill.
Our team consists of 5 partners, salaried GP's, ANP's, ACP's, Practice Nurses, HCA's and Pharmacists, along with supportive reception and admin teams. We are a proactive member of the North Care Network and have a further team of additional roles including First Contact Physiotherapists, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribing Link Workers and PA's.
The Surgery is committed to the ongoing development of all our staff and are proud to be a training practice to GP registrars and medical students, working with Hull and York Medical School and the North Lincs Vocational Training Scheme.
Main duties of the job
Working under the direct supervision of our lead nurse you will support the clinical team and provide direct patient care.
You will provide services including but not limited to;
- phlebotomy
- blood pressure monitoring
- recording of patient observations
- ECG's
- Diabetic Foot Checks

We are a large semi-rural dispensing practice, serving our local community, with approx 17000 patient.
