Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting a Trainee Chemical Engineer to join a specialist gas measurement team. The role involves practical site work, data analysis and technical reporting across the UK, with travel including offshore and international assignments.

You'll receive full technical training, a strong focus on mathematics and science, and the opportunity to develop expertise while supporting customers in safety, compliance and performance of gas measurement systems.

Qualifications

• GCSEs and/or A-levels or a degree in Mathematics and Science is expected.
• Strong practical, methodical problem-solving approach.
• Willingness to travel and learn; full technical training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out performance evaluations of gas chromatographs in accordance with ISO 10723:2012.
• Undertaking inspections of gas quality measurement systems within ISO 17020-accredited service.
• Calibrating and validating gas quality instrumentation at customer sites.
• Analysing results and producing clear technical reports for compliance.
• Preparing reference gas mixtures and verifying contents using accredited procedures.
• Coordinating with Sales, Logistics and other departments for reliable service.
• Maintaining technical records and documentation per quality system.
• Supporting audits as required.
