Job summary

Additional Resources Ltd is seeking a Trainee Fire Systems Tester / Technician to join a field-based life safety team covering customer sites across London and the Home Counties.

Full training will be provided and no prior fire industry experience is required. You will be supported by an experienced engineering team while developing your knowledge of fire safety systems and testing procedures. The role offers a salary range of £22,000 - £27,000 and benefits.

Qualifications

• Practical, logical and methodical, with an organised approach to your work.
• Good communication and customer service skills, with a professional and presentable manner.
• Able to complete tasks efficiently and accurately, including electronic records and paperwork.
• Comfortable using initiative and thinking practically when dealing with tasks or problems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine testing of fire, AOV and emergency lighting systems.
• Record testing results and job information accurately using a PDA.
• Provide professional customer service both on site and by telephone.
• Maintain equipment and van stock while working safely and efficiently.
• Work towards operational KPIs and support colleagues as required.
• Perform other duties as required as part of the role.
