Job summary

TechniFire Solutions Limited is seeking a motivated trainee engineer to join our team in East London. The role involves supporting lead engineers with scheduled and reactive maintenance while onsite training across fire alarms, life safety and property protection systems is provided.

You will develop skills through manufacturer trainings and industry courses, with opportunities to gain nationally recognised qualifications in fire safety systems.

Qualifications

  • Additional qualifications in Engineering or Electrical beneficial.
  • Good level of Maths & English.
  • Must have means of transport.

Responsibilities

  • Receive full training and work under lead engineer on scheduled and reactive maintenance.
  • Communicate with lead engineer and customers to confirm system status.
  • Liaise with service coordinators to meet client needs.
  • Manage stock, tools and equipment issued.
  • Follow QA and Health & Safety policies.
  • Attend training and apply knowledge to improve skills.
  • Hold a Full UK driving licence and have transport.

Job description

Opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic trainee engineer to join our friendly team to work in a fast -paced environment supporting lead engineers in carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance whilst receiving onsite training for multiple types of systems in conjunction with relevant industry training courses supporting the business in delivering the best level of service possible for our clients fire, life safety and property protection.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a career within the life safety industry. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their skills knowledge and learn whilst training from systems manufacturer training whilst achieving industry leading qualifications in relation to Fire Alarms, AOV’s, Dampers, Security Systems, Portable Fire Extinguishers and Suppressions Systems.

Job Description and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Full training will be provided
  • Carry out under the guidance of the lead engineer, scheduled & reactive maintenance in an efficient manner.
  • Effectively communicate with your lead engineer and our customers to ensure a good understanding of system/equipment status.
  • Liaise & co-operate with the lead engineers and service coordinators to ensure the needs of our customers are met.
  • Be responsible for stock, tools & equipment issued.
  • Operate within the requirements of company Quality Assurance & Health & Safety policies.
  • When training has been provided, ensure that it is attended and knowledge used to improve personal skills and technical ability
  • Hold a Full UK driving license and means of transport

Personal skills and traits:

Any successful applicant will need a good level of education, willing to learn and be able to work effectively work as part of a team.
Would require good organisational, self and time management skills. Be able to have good customer facing skills and always be well presented.

These are illustrative duties and the post holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work to enable the company to respond effectively to the requirements of our Clients.
