Financial Divisions, a well-established IFA in Godalming, seeks a Trainee Financial Adviser/Paraplanner to advance into an adviser role within 6 months. You will handle end-to-end paraplanning across pensions, investments, tax planning, retirement planning and IHT for local clients, with study support and in-office exposure.
Based in Godalming (Surrey), the firm serves Surrey/Hampshire/London clients; offices operate with four days in the office weekly.
My client are a very well established Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) based in Godalming who have been operating for over 20 years with a full suite of financial advisers and mortgage advisers servicing local families, retirees and HNW private individuals. I have met the Directors and been to the offices and placed 8 staff into the business. Their clients primarily are based across Surrey, Hampshire and London, but they do have clients further afield. Clients hold anywhere between £100k to £1m+ of investable assets with a few families holding in excess of £2m of investments.
The business has very longstanding relations with their clients, but they do hold relationships with numerous professional sports clubs where they generate new business. Following a very good 12 months with lots of new business coming into the advisers' inboxes, plus an adviser is looking to retire in the next 6 months, the Managing Director is seeking an experienced Paraplanner who is diploma qualified and is seeking to step into an adviser role ASAP.
You will be confident with end to end paraplanning on pensions, investments, tax planning, retirement planning and IHT and knowledge with Voyant cashflow modelling would be highly advantageous. You will have ideally been client facing and be confident and have the gravitas to be advising clients. You will benefit from study support for any exams you are undertaking, accessible parking, extensive exposure to working with Paraplanners and an experienced adviser.
