Job summary

Reed is recruiting a Trainee Financial Adviser in Blackpool. You will support Wealth Planners as a Paraplanner while progressing toward becoming a certificated Financial Planner, delivering technical research and helping with onboarding and client administration.

You will work alongside seasoned Wealth Planners with a structured development plan, mentorship, and exposure to the full advice process, including career progression opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Paraplanner with strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and wider financial planning solutions.
• Experience drafting suitability reports and carrying out client-focused research.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Desire to progress towards a Financial Adviser role and develop a personal client-facing skillset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial planning research, technical analysis, and cashflow modelling to support client recommendations.
• Preparing suitability reports and recommendation documentation for Wealth Planners.
• Supporting client onboarding, new business processing, and ongoing client administration.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a professional and responsive service.
• Working closely with Wealth Planners, Investment Managers, and internal teams to deliver excellent client outcomes.

Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking for a clear route into a Financial Adviser role?

Our client is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner who enjoys working closely with clients and wants to progress towards becoming a certificated Financial Planner.

You’ll work alongside experienced Wealth Planners, supporting the delivery of high-quality financial planning advice while continuing to develop your technical expertise, client relationship skills, and commercial awareness. This role offers genuine career progression, with structured development and exposure to all aspects of the advice process.

What you’ll be doing
