Job description

Kick-start Your Advisory Career: Join a Leading Wealth Management Firm as a Trainee Financial Adviser in Hessle.

Are you ready to take the next step in your financial planning journey? This exciting opportunity is perfect for a Paraplanner with ambition, drive, and a passion for helping clients achieve financial security. This is more than just a stepping stone — it’s your launchpad into a successful career as a fully-fledged Financial Adviser.

Why This Role Stands Out

This role offers a unique blend of hands-on Paraplanning responsibilities and a structured, well-supported route into client-facing financial advice. You’ll be immersed in every stage of the advice process — from research and suitability reporting to provider submissions — while following a tailored development plan to become a qualified Financial Planner.

You'll be working alongside an experienced team that believes in collaboration, integrity, and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients. If you're hungry for progression and want to work in a firm that actively invests in your long-term success, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

What’s in It for You

Salary: £31,000 to £41,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications

Flexi-working & home working options

Bonus scheme

Full financial support for exams and materials (including AF5 and beyond)

Private Medical Insurance, Critical Illness & Life Cover

Pension Scheme

Enhanced maternity/paternity pay

Christmas shutdown

Cycle to Work Scheme

Gym discounts & KP Golf Club membership

Modern office facilities with free parking & showers

Team socials, volunteering days & wellbeing initiatives

Your Role: Key Responsibilities

While initially focused on Paraplanning, you will progressively take on more client-facing responsibilities, including:

Writing suitability reports and financial planning documents

Conducting research and calculations to support client recommendations

Ensuring all documentation is compliant and technically accurate

Liaising with providers to obtain illustrations, valuations, and policy details

Submitting new business efficiently and within agreed timescales

Supporting colleagues and contributing to team learning and development

Following structured workflows and a CPD/T&C programme aligned with FCA expectations

Embodying Consumer Duty principles in all aspects of your work

By the end of your training journey, you’ll be positioned to advise clients independently, delivering holistic, values-driven financial planning that truly changes lives.

What We’re Looking For

Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (completed or near completion)

Experience in a Paraplanning role

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organisation

A client-first mindset and a genuine desire to make a difference

Your Future Starts Here

This is your opportunity to move beyond the back-office and into the advisory space — with mentorship, structure, and full support every step of the way. If you're a paraplanner ready for more responsibility and a path to professional fulfilment, we want to hear from you.
