AXA UK is seeking a Trainee Financial Accountant to join their Finance department at Tokio Marine Kiln. This position will involve supporting various finance functions, with a focus on compliance in financial reporting and assisting in the preparation of key accounting documents. The role offers study support towards a professional accounting qualification and requires a detail-oriented, proactive team player keen on developing a career in finance.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Financial Accountant to join our Finance department here at Tokio Marine Kiln. Reporting into the Syndicate Finance Manager, you will assist the Finance team in the preparation of the financial books and records in a timely and accurate manner to ensure compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements. The role will be based within the Financial Reporting team but will include a rotation across the various functions within the Finance department (including Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, Treasury and Accounts Payable), which will enable the individual to develop their knowledge and experience across the wider Finance function. Study support towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or other appropriate qualification) will be provided.

Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a degree in a STEM/Business/Economics subject and will be committed to pursuing a professional accounting qualification. They will also be proficient in using a variety of Microsoft office applications including Excel. Organisational and time management skills are essential for this role, as are analytical skills. We are looking for someone who has a high attention to detail, is a proactive team player and is an excellent communicator.
