What you’ll be doing:

1. Completion of month-end processes including balance sheet reconciliations, journals for accruals and prepayments, and raising POs.
2. Preparation and submission of VAT, ONS, and other statutory returns.
3. Monitoring capex spend, ensuring it is in line with the approved budgets.
4. Supporting treasury functions, including daily and weekly cash forecasting, monthly bank reconciliations, monitoring of bank accounts, and preparation of payments.
5. Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and responding to queries from statutory auditors.
6. Supporting continuous improvement within the department to enhance processes, systems, and financial control.
7. Your involvement in treasury and month-end processes will evolve based on team requirements and your development in the role.

• Part-qualified with ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (study support available for exams).

• Previous knowledge of SAP is advantageous but not critical.
• You’ll be a positive ‘can-do’ individual who genuinely enjoys supporting stakeholders, can work independently and as part of a team, and is comfortable working to strict deadlines.
