As our company grows and develops, we are expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a committed Trainee Field Technician to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a dependable, dedicated, and flexible Trainee Field Technician to join our UKAS accredited Materials team. As a member of Materials, it is key that you can thrive in a team environment, as well as independently. The fundamental part of the role is to determine the physical properties of a wide range of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates, and bituminous mixtures to ensure compliance with specifications. All testing will be undertaken in line with British, European, and American standards, so good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures are required.

The tasks you will undertake include:

• Sampling and testing of construction materials
• Daily field testing
• Collection of samples for laboratory testing

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

• Ability to work alone onsite
• Responsible attitude towards equipment and vehicle maintenance
