Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a proactive Trainee Field Technician to join our Infrastructure team. You will support on-site sampling and testing of construction materials and assist laboratory work while you learn industry standards under experienced colleagues.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided. The role offers a pathway into a growing engineering services group with exposure to diverse projects across the UK, plus opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training provided.
• Strong communication and a health & safety focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS card desirable; we can facilitate this for you.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing of construction materials on site and in the laboratory
• Completing test sheets, including calculations
• Supporting report production in line with QA systems
