Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Trainee Field Service Engineer to cover a 40-mile patch around Newton Abbot, Devon. You will install and service CCTV, fire and security alarms, while shadowing until confident to work autonomously.

The role includes an on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks) with overtime and a company vehicle, tools, and door-to-door pay. A mechanical or electrical qualification is preferred, with the potential to grow into an engineer.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical qualification required (NVQ, T-Level, BSc).
• Willing to commute to sites within Devon county.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and installing fire and security systems.
• On call rota (1 in every 5 weeks) with additional pay when called out.
• Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30, with optional overtime (1.5x).
• Company vehicle and tools provided; door-to-door pay.
