Job summary

Bimplus, a long-established roofing contractor, is seeking a Trainee Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team. You will learn to support tenders, pricing and pre-construction activities across refurbishment and flat roofing schemes.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with measurements, pricing schedules, supplier enquiries and tender documentation, across projects from £50k to £3m. You will receive full training in Estimating, a clear progression pathway into an Estimator role, a casual

Qualifications

• Ambitious, eager to learn and reliable.
• Strong maths and IT skills, including Excel.
• Studying or holding a construction qualification (BTEC/HNC/HND/T Level/apprenticeship).
• Some practical construction experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supporting quantity take-offs and measurements.
• Helping prepare tender documents, pricing schedules and cost plans.
• Requesting and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Assisting with scope summaries, clarifications and value engineering options.
• Working on roofing and refurbishment tenders across Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial and Public Sector projects.
