Responsibilities include assembling components, wiring, using microscopes, and reading schematics. No prior electronics experience is required, with progression and development opportunities available.

Trainee Electronics Technician / Production Operative

Location: Edenbridge

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm - 11:30pm

Salary: £26,234 per annum + overtime opportunities

Job Type: Permanent

Are you looking for a permanent role where you can learn new skills and build a career in electronics?

We are currently recruiting Trainee Electronics Technicians / Production Operatives to join the assembly engineering team of an established manufacturing business based in a modern, state-of-the-art facility in Edenbridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, good manual dexterity and a willingness to learn. Previous electronics or manufacturing experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

The Role

As a Trainee Electronics Technician / Production Operative, you will be responsible for assembling and testing components to produce specialist safety switches and electronic products.

Your duties will include:

• Assembling small components with a high level of accuracy
• Working with electrical wiring and components
• Using microscopes and specialist equipment
• Reading and following electrical drawings and schematics
• Working to detailed production and quality standards
• Learning new processes and developing your technical skills
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the production process

About You

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Highly detail-oriented and take pride in producing quality work
• Dextrous and comfortable working with small components
• Reliable, conscientious and keen to learn
• Able to follow detailed instructions and technical information
• Adaptable and willing to develop new skills
• Comfortable working as part of a team

No previous experience is essential. Candidates from an electrical wiring, electronics, engineering or manufacturing background will be particularly advantageous, but full training is available for the right person.
