Responsibilities

• 1 Clinical Practice: Deliver regular, evidence-based, low-intensity interventions and guided self-help to children and young people to ensure safe and effective early intervention.
• 2 Caseload Management: Manage a clinical caseload under supervision, monitoring clinical outcomes and tracking the progress of children and young people.
• 3 Clinical Governance: Safeguard clinical quality by identifying and managing risk, escalating appropriately, and ensuring adherence to national CYP-PT guidelines.
• 4 Academic Progression: Complete all academic requirements of the King’s College London Postgraduate Diploma in Education Mental Health Practice, including attending lectures and submitting video portfolios.
• 5 Service Development: Promote evidence-based practice and youth participation within the service to continuously improve the quality of care.

About the role

This is a training position post holder will undertake training at Kings College London alongside working in service for Croydon Drop In. They will be taught to deliver evidence based guided self-help interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. The post holder will use their newly developed skills to support children and young people who are referred into the service and trainees will receive supervision to support their professional development.Applicants will need to be ready to start work in early/mid-January 2027 and posts cannot be offered to candidates unless they can guarantee this start date.Shortlisted candidates will also need to submit an application form to KCL for a place on the Diploma in Education Mental Health Practice.
