Job description

This is a training position and the post holder will undertake training at Kings College London alongside working in service for Croydon Drop In. They will be taught to assess, formulate and deliver evidence based systemic family practice for children and young people and their families, working with mood and depression, self-harm, behavioural (conduct) difficulties and eating disorders. The post holder will use their newly developed skills to support children and young people who are referred into the service and trainees will receive weekly clinical supervision to support their professional development.Applicants will need to be ready to start work in early/mid-January 2027 and posts cannot be offered to candidates unless they can guarantee this start date.Shortlisted candidates will also need to submit an application form to KCL for a place on the Post Graduate Diploma in Systemic Family Practice. Key responsibilities

• 1 Clinical Practice: Deliver regular, evidence-based systemic family interventions, under supervision, to children, young people and their families to support safe and effective care.
• 2 Caseload Management: Manage a clinical caseload, monitor clinical outcomes, track the progress of children and young people, and use routine outcome measures to inform practice.
• 3 Clinical Governance: Safeguard clinical quality by identifying and escalating risk, working within scope, and ensuring adherence to national CYP-PT guidelines.
• 4 Academic Progression: Complete all academic requirements of the King’s College London Postgraduate Diploma in CYP-PT Therapies (Systemic Family Practice), including attending lectures and submitting video recordings and assignments.
• 5 Service Development: Promote evidence-based practice and youth and family participation within the service to continuously improve the quality of care.
