Job summary

Olleco is seeking a delivery assistant to begin by accompanying the driver on daily rounds, delivering fresh cooking oil to restaurants and collecting waste oil. You will interact with up to 30 customers daily and learn to manage your own smaller rounds with a 3.5 van as you gain experience.

The role requires a Class 2 License and the ability to lift heavy loads, with early start times between 05:00 and 07:00.

Qualifications

• Hardworking candidate with a desire to progress and learn.
• Reliable and dependable with a good attitude.
• GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Possession of a Class 2 License is required or to be completed.

Responsibilities

• Accompany driver on daily rounds delivering fresh cooking oil to restaurants and collecting waste oil.
• Interact with up to 30 customers per day, providing friendly service.
• Learn to manage own smaller rounds after initial training in a 3.5 van.
• Assist with locating new delivery locations as needed.
• Fill round sheets and invoices with quantities and prices.
• Unload used cooking oil from vehicles in the yard.
• Load fresh stock onto vehicles for the next day.
• Work as part of a team to ensure efficient site operations.
• Help with cash handling and workload management as required.

• To start with accompanying the driver on daily rounds throughout our region, delivering fresh cooking oil to restaurants and collecting waste cooking oil to be loaded back onto the lorry
• Interacting with up to 30 customers a day, providing an effective and helpful service
• Once experienced doing own smaller rounds in 3.5 van to learn own round management
• Completion of your Class 2 License
• Ability to work independently, completing cash handling and manage own workload
• Aiding the driver to locate any new locations that require delivery
• Filling out round sheets and invoices with quantities and prices
• Unloading used cooking oil from the vehicles back in the yard
• Loading vehicles with fresh stock ready for the next day
• Working as part of a team to ensure the site runs efficiently and effectively

Qualifications

Please note, this role involves early hours, starting between 05:00 and 07:00 am. As the role can involve moving and carrying weights in excess of 20kgs, we will provide manual handling training and medical screening to the successful candidate.
