Job summary

Boots is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals while you complete your NVQ2 dispenser training, learning to greet customers, dispense prescriptions, and advise patients on medicines.

Based in the UK, this role requires a valid right to work and offers training with career development options, including potential progression to Pharmacy Technician or leadership roles within the store.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work (no sponsorship).
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (labeling, endorsing, collection).
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services in-store.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Support patients to manage repeats and medicines to promote adherence.
