Role Details

The hourly rate for this role is £12.60 and up to £14.13 across selected locations within London. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role.

No previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.

About the opportunity

As a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

While completing your Dispenser training (NVQ2), you will build relationships with patients, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and advising on health and wellness, making a difference every day.

This role is based in-store within the UK. Remote applicants and candidates outside the UK will not be considered unless relevant UK qualifications and right to work are confirmed.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
  2. Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collection.
  3. Assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services with healthcare professionals.
  4. Provide advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
  5. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
  6. Stay updated with store innovations and operational processes.
  7. Support patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
  8. Work with evolving store technologies to improve safety and efficiency, allowing more patient interaction.

You will receive regular training to enhance your healthcare knowledge and have opportunities for career development, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leadership.

Requirements:
  1. Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
  2. Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Preferred experience includes working in community pharmacy.
