As a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

While completing your Dispenser training (NVQ2), you will build relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your responsibilities include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and advising patients on health and wellness, making a difference every day.

This role is based in-store within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered, and applications from outside the UK will only be considered if relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed and evidenced.

Key responsibilities:

  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
  4. Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
  5. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
  6. Stay updated with store innovations and operational processes.
  7. Support patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
  8. Work with evolving technologies to improve dispensing processes, enhancing patient safety and efficiency.

You will receive regular training to develop your healthcare knowledge and have opportunities for career advancement, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leader.

What you’ll need to have:

  1. Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
  2. Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

It would be great if you also have:

  1. Experience working in community pharmacy.

  • Enhanced parental leave and gift card for expecting or adopting parents
  • Flexible benefits scheme
