Job summary

Henry Schein Dental Recruitment in Kettering is seeking a Trainee Dental Nurse Apprentice to join our busy practice. This 18–24 month program combines hands-on clinical work with formal training to achieve a Level 3 qualification in Dental Nursing.

You will work 40 hours per week, including Saturdays, with one weekday off; the apprenticeship starts flexibly. Training is delivered through Tempdent with a tutor and practical experience in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
• Willingness to undertake a Hepatitis B vaccination (mandatory).
• Must be able to pass a DBS check and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and orthodontic specialists during procedures.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, sterilize instruments, and organize treatment rooms.
• Support patients before, during, and after appointments, ensuring a positive experience.
• Keep accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks.
• Learn and adhere to cross‑infection control standards and health and safety regulations.

TRAINEE DENTAL NURSE REQUIRED IN KETTERING

To work Full time, The role is 40 hours per week, including Saturdays, with one weekday off each week. Saturday hours are paid at time and a half.
Start date: Flexible
Pay: From £7.55 per hour, In the first year, you'll receive the minimum apprentice wage, after which you'll earn the minimum living wage until qualification;
Expected hours: 40 per week

Training and Qualification:

• Support and mentoring: You’ll be assigned a tutor/assessor to guide you through the course, track your progress, and offer support.
• Duration: The apprenticeship usually lasts about 18 to 24 months, depending on the qualification level and the learner's progress.
• Qualification: Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and passing all assessments, you’ll gain a a Level 3 qualification in Dental Nursing.
