Job summary

Tempdent in Kettering is seeking a Trainee Dental Nurse Apprentice for a full-time role (40 hours per week, including Saturdays with one weekday off). Starting at apprenticeship wage, you’ll work with experienced dentists and specialists, gaining hands-on clinical experience toward a Level 3 qualification in Dental Nursing.

You’ll learn practical skills on the job, study modules online through Tempdent, and be mentored through a structured programme spanning roughly 18–24 months.

Qualifications

• Must have GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Willingness to undertake Hepatitis B vaccination (mandatory).
• DBS check required.
• Positive attitude and excellent patient care.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and orthodontic specialists during procedures to ensure patient care.
• Prepare and sterilise instruments and maintain treatment rooms.
• Support patients before, during, and after appointments for a positive experience.
• Keep accurate patient records and assist with admin tasks.
• Learn and follow cross-infection control and health and safety standards.

TRAINEE DENTAL NURSE REQUIRED IN KETTERING

To work Full time, The role is 40 hours per week, including Saturdays, with one weekday off each week. Saturday hours are paid at time and a half. Start date: Flexible. Pay: From £7.55 per hour. In the first year, you'll receive the minimum apprentice wage, after which you'll earn the minimum living wage until qualification. Expected hours: 40 per week.

Requirements

• Ability to commute/relocate: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
• Must have achieved GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.

Training and Qualification

• Qualification: Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and passing all assessments, you’ll gain a Level 3 qualification in Dental Nursing.
