Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is recruiting a trainee Decontamination Technician to join the ASDU in Falkirk. The role involves decontamination, disassembly and assembly, packaging and sterilisation of reusable medical devices and processing of Flexible Endoscopes, with a physically active workload and a flexible 5/7 shift pattern.

The post requires completion of a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check; initial pay is Band 2, progressing to Band 3 after training.

• Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check required.

Responsibilities

• Operate decontamination equipment and processes for reusable medical devices.
• Handle disassembly/assembly and packaging of devices and sterilisation of endoscopes.
• Flexible 5/7 shift pattern to meet service needs.
